About This Role

As a Tax Associate with ӣ�� you'll work directly with clients and apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to prepare their returns, offer tax advice and resolve customer inquiries through our platform. You'll have access to our virtual tools and resources, as well as opportunities to collaborate with experts and provide updates on assigned customers. This role includes several administrative tasks to support your work, like data entry and compiling and tagging documents for tax return prep. At the end of the season we offer opportunities to work with us again for following seasons.

Minimum 2 seasons of paid Tax Preparation experience, with a minimum of 30 tax returns per tax year required
Must be willing and available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
You possess excellent customer service skills, and you are excited to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner
You are passionate about helping clients navigate the complexities of taxation, and you’re committed to enhancing our brand by delighting our customers and empowering them to prepare their taxes

Confidentiality: Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and security for sensitive customer, confidential, and proprietary business information.
Research and Resources: Utilize government websites, professional resources, and team expertise to deliver accurate and understandable answers to customers.
Communication: Use our state-of-the-art video communication software to interact with customers in a responsible, reliable, and safe manner, and document interactions to maintain accurate records.

Qualifications

Who You Are:

Experienced: You have a minimum of 2 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns using commercial tax preparation software.
Passionate: You are dedicated to helping clients understand and navigate the tax process, enhancing our brand by delighting customers and empowering them to prepare their taxes confidently.
Customer-Focused: You possess excellent customer service skills and are excited to interact with customers through video and audio tools in a professional, friendly, and confident manner.

What You Need:

Licensing: You must possess or be able to obtain any related State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds, and have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN).
Availability: You must be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, spread across three or more days.
Technology: You must have (or be willing to obtain) an internet connection that meets ӣ��’s security criteria.

ӣ�� provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is New York $21.00 - $26.50, Colorado $19.90 - $25.30, Bay Area California $21.00 - 26.50, Southern California $21.00 - 26.50, Washington $21.00 - $26.50, Washington D.C. $21.00 - $26.50. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at .
